Our website features an AI-powered chat assistant that helps answer questions about our services, pricing, scheduling, and general bicycle maintenance. Here's how we handle AI-related data:
- Purpose: Conversations with the AI assistant are used solely to provide you with helpful, relevant responses during your chat session.
- No training: Your conversations are not used to train AI models or improve third-party AI systems.
- No third-party sharing: Chat transcripts are not sold or shared with third parties for marketing or any other purpose.

6. Payment Processing
Cycle Sages does not store any credit card numbers, debit card numbers, or other payment card data on our servers.
All payment processing is handled securely by Square, our third-party payment processor. When you make a payment, your payment information is transmitted directly to Square's secure, PCI-DSS compliant systems. We only receive confirmation of whether the payment was successful, along with a transaction reference number.
For more information on how Square handles your payment data, please review Square's Privacy Policy.
7. Identity Verification
For first-time electronic payments (credit/debit card transactions for services or e-commerce purchases), we require a one-time identity verification to help prevent fraud:
- Barcode scan only: We scan the PDF417 barcode on the back of your driver's license to read encoded data (name, address, license number, expiration date). No photograph or image of your license is captured or stored.
- Purpose: The scanned data is used solely to verify that your identity matches the billing information on your payment method.
- What we store: Once verified, we record only your verification status (verified/not verified), the date of verification, and basic license details (license number, issuing state, expiration date). No images are retained.
- One-time process: Verification is required only once. After your identity is confirmed, an "ID Verified" status is applied to your account and no further license scanning is needed.
- Estimate form scanning: When you use the "Scan Driver's License" feature on our estimate request form, it reads the barcode only to auto-fill your contact information. No ID data or images are stored from this process.
- Alternative: Our staff may verify your identity manually in person as an alternative to scanning.

We use the following third-party services to operate our business. These services may process your data as described in their respective privacy policies:
- Square: Payment processing (see Section 6)
